Abercrombie & Fitch

A specialty retailer of apparel and outerwear, Abercrombie & Fitch was one of Cellit's long-time clients, as was their subsidiary Hollister. Annually, Cellit would propose new ideas and technologies, and this project is one such proposal.

The "Get Layered" Promotion

Proposal and Prototype

An existing product Cellit offered to other clients, such as Toys'R'Us, was the idea of a mobile coupon in the form of a scratch-and-win. The concept included two images, one overlaid on top of the other. The end user received a coupon on their mobile device, which they could then touch to "scratch off" the top image, revealing the discount underneath, similar to physical scratch-off lottery tickets.

I realized we could offer this same product in another fashion, where the user could swipe a jacket on or off, showcasing both of the season's outerwear with matched apparel or intimates. As an edgier brand, Hollister, was ideal for this type of promotion. I created the prototype by pulling some assets from their website to pitch it to the client.

Promotion

Abercrombie & Fitch loved the idea. They greenlit the promotion but for their flagship brand instead. Under my direction, they provided us the assets for their 2013 fall lookbook, which I then used to develop the mobile site.
